You can book online through our website, call us directly, or send us an email. We aim to offer same-week appointments where possible.
We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged at 50% of the session fee. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your appointment.
We offer appointments Monday to Friday, typically between 8am and 7pm. Weekend appointments may be available by special arrangement. We try to be flexible to accommodate your schedule.
Initial assessments are typically 30-60 minutes depending on the complexity of your condition. Follow-up sessions are usually 30 minutes. We'll discuss what's most appropriate for you.
Your first appointment includes a comprehensive assessment where we'll discuss your symptoms, medical history, and goals. We'll examine the affected area, provide a diagnosis, and explain what's causing your problem. Treatment usually begins at the first session, and you'll receive a personalised exercise program to do at home.
This varies depending on your condition, how long you've had it, and how well you respond to treatment. Many patients see significant improvement in 3-6 sessions for acute problems. Chronic conditions may require more sessions. We'll give you an estimated treatment plan after your initial assessment.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that allow access to the affected area. For example, shorts for knee/hip problems, or a vest top for shoulder issues. We'll always ensure your modesty is protected during treatment.
Physiotherapy shouldn't be excessively painful, though some discomfort during treatment is normal, especially with conditions that have been present for a while. We always work within your tolerance and will adjust treatment intensity based on your feedback.
We need enough space to set up a portable treatment couch (approximately 2m x 1m) and move around it. A living room, bedroom, or private office usually works well. If space is limited, we can adapt.
We bring a professional portable treatment couch, clean linens, and all necessary treatment equipment including electrotherapy devices, tape, and exercise equipment as needed.
No, you don't need anyone else present. However, you're welcome to have a family member, carer, or chaperone if you prefer. For treatments with elderly patients, it can be helpful to have someone to assist with exercises.
